When I started Third Life Consulting, I didn’t choose the sunflower or the color teal by accident. Every part of this brand carries a piece of my story, and these two symbols remind me, and every survivor I work with that healing isn’t about who we used to be, it’s about who we’re becoming.
🌻 The Sunflower: Resilience in Bloom
Sunflowers have always fascinated me. No matter where they’re planted, they turn toward the light. Even when storms bend their stems or shadows fall across their field, they instinctively find the sun again.
That’s the essence of the Third Life: rising from the soil of everything that tried to bury you and choosing to grow again. The sunflower is a reminder that even when life has broken, bruised, or buried you your light isn’t gone. It’s just waiting for you to face it again.
For me, it represents every survivor who has had to start over, every advocate who’s carried others through darkness, and every human learning to bloom in their own time.
💧 Teal: The Color of Healing and Awareness
Teal isn’t just a color, it’s a statement. It represents sexual assault and trauma awareness, a movement I’ve dedicated my life and career to. But beyond that, teal embodies calm, clarity, and the peace that comes after the storm.
It’s grounding yet vibrant just like the energy we bring to our clients, partners, and community. It reminds me that healing can be powerful and peaceful, structured and soft. It’s a color that carries both truth and tenderness.
