I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Rayford for two years. I can strongly attest that she is an excellent advocate. She is hard-working. She is diligent, but most of all she is compassionate. Ms. Rayford puts 110% to supporting for all of her clients. I can wholeheartedly say that I am a better advocate because of working with Ms. Rayford.

When Demetrius and I were working with a family together to help modify the child’s behavior at home and school, the mom was unable to hear what I had to say about rearing her son despite my experience. Demetrius took the time to meet with the mother separately to discuss the concerns we both had about her communication style with her son, and the mother was able to not only hear Demetrius’ point but also make changes that ended up healing her relationship with her child. The family was able to discharge relatively soon thereafter. I had a lot of great parent supports through my many years working that job, but none were better than Demetrius. 

I’ve known Demetrius since 2017 and she has shown remarkable development throughout the years in both her personal life and her career path. She stands out as one of the most resourceful individuals I have met because she consistently develops innovative solutions to overcome obstacles while providing assistance to others. Her advocacy work becomes evident in all her activities because she exceeds expectations to support the people she cares about.

I have worked along side Ms. Rayford for 3 years and in that time she has done some incredible work as an advocate. Her compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to supporting survivors make a real difference in the work that we do. Ms. Rayford will go above and beyond to help those in need and do not know the first steps to take. Through her work of advocacy she not only provide hope and safety for those in need but also inspired myself to take action and do more.

In working with Demi, I found that she is truly the go-to person for everything! The whole department relied on her for answers when we were stuck. She was the spine of our team. When in search of the perfect resource for a client, Demi would know exactly what resource would fit them instantly. I was amazed to learn how much she knew about the non-profit we worked for along with several others. She truly knows New Orleans like the back of her hand. She would even tell you what police station was assigned to each district. We were extremely grateful for Demi when she worked at our organization. I still even ask her questions for guidance generally speaking. It is truly a pleasure to know and work with her.
